The Ship Graveyard of Tamar River

In an early attempt to create more flow in the main channel of the Tamar River in Tasmania, at least 14 vessels were sunk in a line between 1920-1970. It is thought be one of Tasmania’s largest ship graveyards and given its uniqueness has been named ‘The Burial Ground’.
